Comprehensive portfolio

The Hromatka Group's portfolio includes almost all thermoplastic polymers. From standard plastics and polyolefins to unusual high-performance plastics, we fill almost the entire plastic pyramid. We supply many of our polymers based on fossil raw materials as well as recycled and organic raw materials.

The range is enhanced by masterbatches, additives and cleaning granulates.

Over 150 experts on site

The Hromatka Group employs experts from all plastics processing industries. They use their expertise to support our customers on site. Because we not only speak the national language of our customers, but also the language of the industry. In short: we understand each other!

From the idea to the series

No matter what stage you are at in your product development process: We support you. From the initial idea through to ongoing series production. Our experts help with design and material selection as well as with optimizing the production process through to the consistent, reliable supply of your material.

Support with re-emergence and disposal

Today's waste is tomorrow's raw material. More and more companies are recognizing the value of their production waste. We close the material cycle by reprocessing and refining your production waste. In this way, we ensure consistent quality with less use of virgin materials and a lower environmental impact.

The Hromatka Group operates its own warehouses in almost all of Europe. The warehouse network has the most common materials, as well as materials specially manufactured to customer requirements, and forms the basis for a high level of security in terms of availability and selection.

Created out of curiosity,
grown with our partners.

Our history goes back to 1971, when Hans Wolfgang Hromatka opened a market research office in Vienna.

After his first contact with GE Plastics, he was fascinated by the new material plastic. He quickly recognized its potential and, together with his employees, began to support processors in the correct selection of materials and their procurement. With the founding of Plastoplan, he laid the foundations for a success story that has lasted for over 50 years.

Careful selection and good cooperation with the best suppliers, proximity to customers and their needs have always formed the basis for the successful path to today's Europe-wide network. Growth has been achieved through the establishment of new companies and the acquisition of local distribution companies - always while retaining their identity. This is how Plastoplan Vienna, the local Plastoplan offices in Eastern Europe, Lenorplastics and Grässlin Kunststoffe first came together as the "Hromatka Group".

At the turn of the millennium, the Hromatka family started its own compounding operations in order to meet additional customer requirements outside the distribution portfolio. This was the birth of SAX Polymers.

With the acquisition of Aectra Plastics, Guzman Polymers, AGI and Sotac in Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain, Turkey and Italy, as well as the founding of Aectra in France and Plastoplan in Serbia, Slovenia, the UK and Greece, the Hromatka Group set further milestones.

Since 2024, we have also been expanding our expertise in the field of engineering and simulation through the addition of Impetusa renowned engineering company based in Germany.

Today, we continue to invest sustainably and with foresight in our employees and infrastructure in order to offer our customers the best material with the best service.
