The Hromatka Group's portfolio covers almost all thermoplastic polymers. From standard plastics and polyolefins to unusual high-performance plastics, we cover almost the entire plastics pyramid. Many of our polymers are based on fossil raw materials, as well as recycled and bio-based raw materials.
The range is enhanced by masterbatches, additives, and cleaning granulates.
The Hromatka Group employs experts from all areas of plastics processing. They use their expertise to support our customers on site. Because we not only speak our customers' national language, but also the language of industry. In short: we understand each other!

Our history dates back to 1971, when Hans Wolfgang Hromatka opened a market research office in Vienna.
After his first contact with GE Plastics, he became fascinated by the new material plastic. He quickly recognized its potential and, together with his employees, began to support processors in selecting and procuring the right materials. With the founding of Plastoplan, he laid the foundation for a success story that has now lasted for over 50 years.

Careful selection and close cooperation with the best suppliers, proximity to customers and their needs have always formed the basis for the successful path to today's Europe-wide network. Growth has been achieved through new start-ups and the acquisition of local distribution companies – always while retaining their identity. This is how Plastoplan Vienna, the local Plastoplan offices in Eastern Europe, Lenorplastics, and Grässlin Kunststoffe first came together as the "Hromatka Group."
At the turn of the millennium, the Hromatka family began its own compounding business to meet further customer requirements outside the distribution portfolio. This marked the birth of SAX Polymers.
With the addition of Aectra Plastics, Guzman Polymers, AGI and Sotac in Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, and Italy, as well as the establishment of Aectra in France and Plastoplan in Serbia, Slovenia, Great Britain, and Greece, the Hromatka Group set further milestones.
Since 2024, we have been expanding our expertise in the field of engineering and simulation by adding Impetus, a renowned engineering company based in Germany.
Today, we continue to invest sustainably and with foresight in our employees and infrastructure in order to offer our customers the best materials with the best service.
